Bulgaria's northern seaside resort of Albena has rented its fourth airport, it became clear on Wednesday.
Albena has already signed a five-year contract with the government, that allows it to use the former military airport near Balchik, Darik News reported.
The resort will be able to use the landing and take-off strips and one of the airport buildings. Albena planes can only use the airport for internal non-commercial flights, the contract says.
In return the resort's managers will have to renovate the airport and perform regular maintenance.
Albena already has airports in the villages of Elin Pelin and Primorsko, and is about to build an airstrip near Kranevo. So far the resort has one Sirius plane. |
